'Lusitanus' is a private Lusitano breeders club located in the small rural town of Golegã, one hour's drive from Lisbon and close to the historical towns of Santarem and Tomar. Opened in November 1999, the outstanding equestrian facilities of 'Lusitanus' are now, for the first time, available to visitors with the introduction of 3-7 Day Riding Courses on purebred Lusitano horses. The courses include twice daily lessons with professional instructor/riders João Pereira Lynce and Paolo Barreiros Motta. There are around 20 Lusitano stallions based at any one time at 'Lusitanus' and these riding courses are aimed at riders of an intermediate standard. Half-board accommodation is included in the price of the courses; riders stay in bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms which are decorated to a high standard and located alongside the riding hall. Meals can be taken various restaurants in Golegã, including the new club restaurant overlooking the central square. With its excellent visitor facilities and the truly unique Portuguese atmosphere of Golegã town, 'Lusitanus' can now provide a riding holiday for classical dressage and Lusitano enthusiasts that really is second to none.

PRICES INCLUDE:

• TUITION - 3 Days - 6 lessons, 4 Days - 8 lessons, 5 Days - 10 lessons, 7 Days - 12 lessons. The above prices are based on 2 persons per lesson - special rates for groups on request.
• ACCOMMODATION AT 'LUSITANUS' - prices are based on a sharing a twin-bedded room with
  en-suite bathroom. Rooms are newly decorated in traditional style and provide a high level of comfort.
• MEALS - breakfast and one other meal per day (either lunch or dinner) are included in the price
• CAR HIRE/TRANSFERS - Car rental (Opel Corsa or similar) is included in the price. Based on 2 persons sharing (single occupancy of the car incurs a £60 supplement). The car is collected at Lisbon Airport on arrival and dropped off prior to departure. For those who do not wish to rent a car, taxis can be arranged to collect guests from Lisbon Airport to take to Golega on arrival, and to return guests at the end of their stay.
  

PAYMENT TERMS: Deposit of £100.00 payable on booking. Balance due 6 weeks before departure date.
